UK Data IT - Telecoms Division Expands

UK Data IT have succesfully expanded into the Wholesale Line Rental (WLR) market as an SP for BT Wholesale Product Portfolio. This includes analogue, isdn2 and isdn30 enabling a turnkey package of lines, calls and the provision of suppy, installation and maintainence of telephones systems and their associated applications.

Opal Telecom Reseller Status

Having had Dealer status for some considerable time with Opal Telecom, UK Data IT Group have now succesfully established reseller status.

Ofcom Statement of policy on the persistent misuse of an electronic communications network or service

The changes to the statement have been prompted by the growing public concern about the distress caused to consumers by silent and abandoned calls. Most silent calls arise when call centres misuse predictive diallers to generate more calls than their agents can handle. When a consumer answers such a call and no agent is available, the consumer either hears silence or the call is automatically terminated, resulting in an abandoned call.

Stop the Cold-Calling Pests (Which Magazine)

The consumer magazine Which recently highlighted the problems with cold calling. It stated the silent calls made up 29 percent of all calls they had been told about. Of the people involved in the survey 7 percent had received around 260 calls a year.
